what a weekend! the weather in the city was beautiful & having my mom & dad here to celebrate my mom’s birthday was the best! it was a fabulous weekend taking my niece & nephew to the park, walking by the water, & eating lots of delicious food! yesterday while the sun was shining & the babies were sleeping we wondered down to the water and it was the perfect backdrop for this look. i have been so ready to get on the water & finally this weekend that will come true! trevor & i are headed to his parents house for the holiday and i’m so excited to see family & some of my oldest friends, one who’s expecting and one who just had a new arrival!

this outfit will definitely be packed and i love how the red lip adds a fancy feel to such a casual look. i scooped this top up at the j.crew outlet and love how breezy & light it is. i normally hate wearing sleeves during the summer months but this is so breathable it didn’t bother me. throw on your favorite jean shorts & some flats and you are set for a bbq or weekend by the lake! just don’t forget a good hat it’s the best way to hide bed head and keep the sun out of your face & i love this one from gap that’s on sale if you are looking!
