As soon as we woke up last Saturday, I hoped out of bed and got us out the door. The weather has been so gloomy and the sunshine needed to be soaked in! We decided to go on a walk on The 606 and make ourselves lunch with the windows open. How long had it been since we could do that?!

After relaxing for a little bit, we headed out to wander around the neighborhood. Things around Wicker Park change so frequently and we hadn’t just wandered around the area since the last time it was warm, which who knows when that was! We decided to stop into a new restaurant at six corners, Publican Anker and oh my goodness was it tasty!

It’s a new spot from the people behind The Publican in West Loop and it was both adorable and delicious. They had communal, high top and traditional seating and we grabbed a little booth for two of us by the window. We ordered the wings and avocado salad to start and that salad was life changing, totally reccomend it! We were then boring and both ordered the burgers. I had heard it was better than Au Cheval and although it was good, it was not better.

I wore this little swing pink dress that is roomy for lunch out and perfect for a casual Valentine’s Day too! With the weather constantly changing this pink sweater dress will be easy to pull off with over the knee boots and hopefully just booties in the near future. Hope you guys have a great Monday and let me know if you stop by The Anker!
