Happy Friday y’all! I don’t know about you but I am feeling refreshed after a nice short week and ready for yet another great weekend. Isn’t summer just the best? There are so many things to get out and do outside and stay tuned because I am rounding up a few of our Chicago favorites on the blog soon. I thought I would share a little bit of what we’ve been up to lately and would love to hear your plans for this weekend?

1. Exploring the city: I know I have mentioned it before but summer is the best time to get out and explore new parts of the city. I think we tend to get stuck in a routine and our own neighborhood (especially here in Chicago) so when the weather is nice it’s the perfect time to explore somewhere new. Last weekend we headed to Hopewell Brewing Co in Logan Square and had a blast. It’s a new local brewery with impeccable interiors and tons of open space. I wish it had a bit more open air but has tons of board games available to play so that made up for it. They have a ton of different options but I tried the watermelon radler which was insanely good and the beer flight later with Blair.

2. The desk is finally done: I know you probably saw on Instagram and the blog but it’s been so motivating. I look forward to working and writing so much more now and I can’t recommend creating a little space for yourself enough.

3. Girls Night: It’s always great to get together with girlfriends and this past week was my friend Lauren’s birthday! We tried two new places (to me!) and started in Logan Square at Mezcaleria Las Flores which is a cool mezcal inspired bar that has interesting and creative cocktails and a super cool vibe. We then headed to Dos Urban Cantina for dinner and filled up on some delicious noms. The Latin menu is served almost tapas style which is perfect for sharing with a group of friends. I wore this beautiful bell sleeved lace top that I shared on Instagram and just haven’t had time to get shot for the blog.

4. Dreaming of home: I can’t believe it’s already June and I’m so excited for a much anticipated trip home. I feel like it’s been years since we have made it back to Louisville and we are going with my brother and sister in law and nieces and nephew so it will be heaven to have everyone together!

5. Light at the end of the tunnel: Trevor graduates from residency in just a week! It’s such a huge accomplishment and although he won’t let me celebrate it I am going to try to spoil him with dinner and ice cream, it’s the simple things right?

Hope you all have an amazing weekend!
