On Me – Top: Nordstrom – love this and this too! | Leggings: Nordstrom – LOVE these and these and if you are looking for just a solid pair these are amazing and I own two pairs of them! | Shoes: Allbirds – our whole family obviously has them and loves them. They are great for walks and going out but wouldn’t reccomend them for an actual workout or run. You don’t need to wear socks with them and you can throw them in the washing! Make sure to size up 1/2 size too!
On Trevor – Sweatshirt: Nordstrom (Trevor’s favorite and he’s very picky about sweatshirts) | Sweatpants: Nordstrom – I loved these and these on him too! | Shoes: Allbirds
On Zain – Zip Up Hoodie: Nordstrom | Tee: Gap (swear by these!) | Pants: Nordstrom – love these and these too! | Shoes: Smallbirds
Weekends are something of a treasure around here these days! Now that Zain is a little bit older and developing such a cute personality I really treasure my time with him. Before it was much of a routine and getting him on a sleep schedule, etc and now it’s more fun and enjoyable. The weekends are our time with Trevor and we have really been trying to make the most of it!
A few weekends ago we ventured out with him to shoot some photos! We never had newborn photos or ‘family photos’ taken so when Zain was asked to debut Allbirds new kids shoes we thought it would be the perfect time to capture some. We tried to make it work with our normal weekend routine and met Hannah outside one of our favorite brunch and dinner spots really!
I’ve talked about The Robey before and why we love going with Zain! They are always so accommodating with children and have the nicest high chairs for him to relax in. He loves their pancakes for brunch 🙂 After we do breakfast or brunch out we try to get Zain’s nap in at home and then head out to enjoy another activity in the city together. Whether it’s the Garfield Park Conservatory (they have a great children’s room), the Children’s Museum or just the park it’s helpful to get him out interacting with people and burning off some steam.
We usually spend our evenings in since Zain gets a bath around 6pm and is in bed by 7pm! I’ve been trying to cook in when we don’t have plans so we avoid the takeout train too often. I know it may not sound like the fanciest type of weekend but if I’m being honest, it’s my favorite!
Can you even get over his chunky ankles hanging over?!
Seriously obsessed with Zain! He’s just the cutest! I have a five-month-old and can’t wait for this stage when we can do a bit more.
Oh you are SO sweet 🙂 I totally hear what you are saying! This seems to be such a fun stage and it’s so nice to enjoy things with them. Hope motherhood is treating you well!
