I’ve been mentally preparing myself for fall for weeks. I’m not sure if it’s the fall clothing coming out or that pumpkin spice is popping up everywhere but I feel like it’s right around the corner. This summer has flown by and I’m actually so excited for a new season. Last weekend, Trevor and I grabbed a hot lunch outside and I was excited to brainstorm out loud with him about ways I want to reset before Fall. Although it was sweltering and I was in this adorable stripe off the shoulder top and new cut offs I was laser focused on how I was planning to recharge.

Set new fitness goals: My workout routine’s have been all over the place and I’m not really holding myself accountable regularly.  My goal is to try to go for a walk or run 2-3 times a week and continue my at home arm workout – it’s only been a few weeks and I swear my arms are more muscular!

Turn off my phone: I’ve been doing better about this lately but I am trying to power my devices off more routinely. Posting on social media less, scheduling more tasks & wasting far less time on my phone.

Plan more date nights each month: Although I love our regular ‘cook dinner and catch up on our shows’ Sunday nights I am going to make more of an effort to plan fun activities for us. Since our free time together is now drastically less I’m excited to get out and experience new things in the city a bit more. I recently found a new site I’ve been doing this on and will share more details soon after we try it out!

Spend more time on hobbies: You may have noticed that I don’t tend to write a ton in each and every blog post. Although I love sharing stories I feel like there is so much I could learn about the craft. I am hoping to spend a lot more free time practicing my photography and exercising my writing skills. If you have any resources you like feel free to send them my way!

What are you guys hoping to dive into this fall? I feel like the change in season is the perfect time to set new goals and get excited about your passions again!

    So cute, lady! Love this!

  2. I like the idea of turning your phone off more… that’s definitely something I’m not good about, but when I don’t have it, I really don’t think about it and I always feel so relaxed! Thanks for the tips!

There are so many things swirling in my mind but first and foremost I am going to use the gift card for a month of unlimited classes at a dance studio my husband gave me (Dovetail Studios). Turning the phone off is a good one too!

  4. I love the start of a new season because it really is the perfect time to set new goals! I definitely want to get more active, turn off my phone (and other technology) more and focus more on getting things done. I cannot wait for fall to get here!

  7. I feel like this post was literally written for me. I want to spend less time on social media, and I want to turn my phone OFF. I also want to start running (maybe?) and schedule more date nights. Finally, I want to write for me! 🙂

I adore you. I think Fall ’16 is going to be the best yet. 🙂
