happy friday my loves! the week back to work after a vaca never seems to end, right? i couldn’t be more ready for 6pm to strike! i was hoping to get a vaca recap up this week and break down how i attempted to look stylish next to uber chic europeans but there are so many pics i still need to shuffle through! stay tuned for that next week and now for the trend i couldn’t resist…

when wedge sneakers first hit Isabel Marant stores i saw them everywhere. although i loved them i didn’t really want to. i’m not sure exactly why but i thought it was something i wouldn’t be able to pull off and honestly felt way too old to wear them. however, when our trip was approaching i realized these would be the perfect footwear to keep me comfortable while walking all day. my hesitations were put to rest when i saw how many women on the streets of Paris (of all ages) were sporting these and of course making them look flawless.

i originally had wanted a more neutral color but while at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago for an event I ran across these Ash sneaks. they were the only pair left and my size…that’s fate y’all. i’m actually so happy i snagged this leather pair because they were so easy to throw on with almost anything. i kept it simple with jeans, faux-leather jacket, & my favorite printed scarf. this scarf goes with me everywhere and i love the elephant print. it was actually a gift from my mother-in-law from a mission trip she took to Africa but i linked several similar ones above.

on a sidenote: i waited for an ‘end of season’ sale a few years back to snag my leather jacket so i could get a great one at a lower price! i linked an amazing Free People one above that’s on sale right now. so, if they have your size i would totally snag that up because you will use it forever!
