Sweater: Madewell | Jeans: Levi’s – also available here and here! These are my go to distressed jeans. Fit so well, really affordable, have a high waist but do run a little big so I would size down! | Loafers: Sam Edelman – these come in every color and texture and are so comfortable, fit TTS!
Hello from Dallas!
I am happy to report that the sun is shining and I am surviving. I will not lie, I miss Zain like crazy but Facetime is a beautiful thing and I can’t wait to get back to him Sunday morning. It helps a ton that my mom came up to Chicago to stay with Zain while I’m gone. She knows him so well and it’s so nice to be able to leave your child with someone and not worry.
As for today it will be a busy one! Our schedule is jam packed with seminars, brand meetings and then a cocktail party tonight! I was hoping to get a ton of work done this week since I am sans Zain but honestly I’ve been wiped out from the conference and crashing pretty quickly after we get back to Blair’s parents.
I thought it was time for a little life update around here again so here goes!
Workout Progress
Leggings: Zella – I swear by these and have more than one pair! | Tank: Nordstrom – love this and this too for workouts! | Shoes: APL – also available here! These sneakers are a dream but do run small. I needed to order a half size up but may even go a full size if you are usually in between!
My fitness game has actually been on track! Thanks to you all who keep me on track on Instagram. I’ve been making it to my killer workout class on Wednesdays at my gym and doing Flywheel or Flybarre at least once a weekend. I am aiming to fit in one more gym workout a week so I can consistently be at 3x a week but this is progress.
I’ve also been sticking to clean eats and a lot of plant based meals during the week. Did you catch my post earlier this week on easy weekday lunches?
I’m hoping to keep it going and have set Zain’s first birthday as a goal date for fitting into some pants I’ve been staring at for months, so here’s to staying on track!
Girls Night
Emma really wanted to join!
But then she wasn’t really feeling it 😉
Full outfit post coming soon on the best white jeans (send me your favorites!) but you can find outfit details here now! This scarf is on sale and an extra 40% right now and I am OBSESSED with the pattern!
Ahhh, this girls night was so needed!!! We really lucked out in that we picked this date week’s ago since everyone’s schedule is so busy and it happened to be the day it was 70 and beautiful in Chicago! We all met over at Kelly’s and walked to Athenian Room for dinner. I had actually never been and I’m not sure why—it was SO good!
Zain Boo
Running errands with mama! Outfit details here—I live in these athleisure pieces…
Family day at the museum—you can see the full post here!
Post nap snuggles 🙂 We love these sleepers!
Zain’s first trip to our favorite BBQ joint with his cousin! I usually pack this bib in my diaper bag because it’s so easy to clean. You can read about our transition to solids here!
This kid is the best in the mornings! He rarely let’s me drink my coffee hot but that’s okay 🙂 Outfit details here
The sticker they put on him at gym daycare is so cute, haha!
Trevor had the day off so we took Zain to Tunes with Tim at Monica + Andy!
Getting ready to board the plane!
On another plane with this kid! This time we were headed to visit Trevor’s parents. He did great on this flight and if you are curious about how we travel with him, I shared that here!
At Trevor’s parents house! He got to spend time with his cousin Baylor and it’s so sweet to see them together since they are just 7 days apart!
He loved watching their dog Jack. He would giggle uncontrollably when Trevor would play catch with him!
Zain & his Mimi
Zain and his Grandpa!
These two! We found the photo of Trevor’s brother opening this toy for his 1st birthday like 30 years ago. It’s so cute to see these two on it now.
Well, I think that’s all I have for today! I hope you guys are having a great Friday and make sure to follow along on my trip to Dallas over on Instagram!
