hope y’all missed me because i missed you! isn’t it interesting how things always seem to work out at the right time? before leaving for our vacation i was feeling sluggish, uninspired, & the weather was not helping. the beautiful cities of paris & barcelona definitely reinvigorated me (and filled my belly with scrumtious eats) it’s always so inspiring to experience different cultures & places and i’m excited for some fresh new style on the blog and for spring to finally arrive…

now, let’s talk about these overalls. i’m OBSESSED. i’m a kentucky girl so this definitely isn’t my first time at the rodeo but i couldn’t be more pumped to bring these back. it always feels like fashion comes full circle…remember when you were little and rocked some overalls, neon’s, and crop top’s? well, i must admit i’m not a huge fan of the neon or crop trend. although there are some individual pieces i love i just can’t seem to get on board. what i can jump on is this overall train! since it may not be around for long i chose to find a pair i loved at Forever 21. I know i have said it before but whenever you want to experiment with your style or do something outside your comfort zone, do it! just find it at a lower price point so if it doesn’t work out or you only get a few uses out of it you’re not left with regrets. the specific ones i have aren’t available anymore but i tagged similar ones so you can feel guilt free having fun with your style. i love the length on these and how the leg is a tad tapered because it really can become overwhelming especially when you want a “boyfriend” style look. the key for me is keeping the hips, towards the ankle, & around your bust relatively fit to give you a relaxed feel without looking sloppy.

since the patchwork detailing and overall look was bold i wanted to keep everything else simple: a striped tee & my cork manolo’s. these shoes were a major steal courtesy of my husband  and i love them for spring and summer! cork is everywhere and these have a gloss over them that allows you to dress them up or down. since i chose to wear almost no jewelry or carry a clutch i wanted to add a pop of red with this lip stain. i’m trying to slowly embrace a bolder lip & thought it really brought the whole look together!
