Welcome to the (hopefully) farewell to Chicago winter post! It’s crazy this week I was wearing culottes and a crop top and last week there was snow on the ground! I will take this as a sign that Spring is near and this was Chicago shedding it’s last snowflakes. Despite the snow falling last week I was determined to bring Spring to my day off.

I went downtown & met Blair at Soho House to write and catch up before our trip to LA this weekend! I have been living in white jeans lately and these YMI Jeans are my new must have’s. They fit like a glove, have a medium rise waist & brighten up any look. I have been so stuck in a high waist it was refreshing to wear something new. The pockets are perfectly placed for a girl with curves and I felt like they hugged me in all the right spots. Both knees are distressed but just ever so slightly so it’s still easy to wear despite the changing weather.

White jeans are such a staple wardrobe item for me. I love the way they look in the summer and winter and you can never go wrong with a monochromatic white look. This look is the perfect way to layer for winter and during summer you can pair them with everything from boho tanks to off the shoulder tops. Despite what people may say about it only being appropriate to wear white during certain seasons I promise you that isn’t true and neither are any of those other fashion myths – I love black and brown together!

Jean shopping can be so tricky and I’m often scared to try out new brands but have been making myself venture out. These jeans are perfect for summer and thick enough that they don’t show through at all (which I sometime worry about with white pants) If you are on the fence I would definitely take the plunge with these – they are so affordable and flattering!

I paired them with my go to stripe tissue turtleneck. I know I have told you before but this is a must have I never get tired of wearing and I couldn’t recommend it. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen this pink coat before. Sadly, it’s sold out now but I always try to post sale finds on social media as soon as I snag them. It gives you a chance to purchase since most of the time it’s sold out by the time it hits the blog so follow along for all that info! Despite this exact one being gone I found a few super affordable options and linked them above.

Hopefully this will be my last winter look on the blog and I am so excited to head to LA this weekend and share it all with you guys when I get back! Make sure to follow along on Snapchat & Instagram and send all your LA rec’s this way!

I’m glad to know these are thick and not see-through! I haven’t found a pair of white jeans that I love enough yet that’s not too see-through. I’ll definitely have to try these!
