I don’t know how the summer has flown by but with everyone’s crazy schedules it’s been a while since we had a nice girls night out. Last week I was excited to head down to Hugo’s Frog Bar and enjoy happy hour with the girls.

It’s a favorite from the first year I lived here that I would always take visitors too. Since I lived right down in Streeterville the Gold Coast was so close and the area is beautiful. Insane shops I never buy anything in  to delicious restaurants and some great people watching. Hugo’s Frog Bar is connected to Gibson’s Steak Bar and they use all the same meat. The seafood and filet sliders are to die for and it was the perfect night spent out on the patio!

We indulged in all the seafood and I was blown away by the crab legs (something I don’t eat often) and the ahi tuna. It was great to catch up on all our summer plans and we decided we need to make it happen more often.

I wore this new Ann Taylor stripe shirt dress and my mules and couldn’t have been more comfortable. These shoes have quickly become my go to pair and will be on heavy rotation during the fall season and I think this dress will be perfect with over the knee boots. The material is a little bit thicker and will work well in cooler temps so it’s a great transition piece. 

How do you guys make sure you see your girlfriends enough? I think maybe better planning is the answer and now that summer is winding down I feel like all of our schedules will really clear up.
