Happy hump day guys!

Now that we are back and settled in, I am excited to head to music class with Trevor and Zain today. It’s one of Zain’s favorite activities and now that he’s up so much longer between his naps it’s a lot easier to make happen. We’ve tried a few different places but Mr.Dave’s is by far our favorite and a great walk for us when it’s not too cold out. I like stopping in Milk & Honey CafĂ© afterwards to pick up a coffee and stroll along Division St.

Today’s photos have quite the backstory to them. I was headed down to Macy’s week before last to shoot their Flower Show for a project! It was early on a Sunday morning and since downtown is normally a ghost town on Sunday mornings Trevor thought he and Zain could drop me off and walk around a little. Since I’ve actually kept to my New Year’s goal of improving my time management we left about 30 minutes before we needed to.

Instead of being met with a coffee and quiet streets we were stopped in the middle of the street and soon learned the Shamrock Shuffle was happening. I ran the race a few years ago but am still unclear why it was happening after St.Patrick’s Day. Anyhow, Zain fell asleep, we took ten detours to try to get remotely close to Macy’s which took about 40 minutes and I froze walking the rest of the way. My work project was fun and since the race was still going on when I was done I had to walk about 35 minutes outside of the zone to actually catch a Lyft home.

Needless to say what I thought was going to be a cozy family morning with donuts and coffee turned out to be one with frozen ankles, a cranky baby and a not so pleased husband. Let this be a lesson that you can’t win them all, haha!

Besides freezing I really loved what I wore! I have owned these white culottes for years and always come back to them. They are so flattering and look great with crop tops, fitted tanks and even flats. I recently snagged these Everlane ones and love the fabric too!

Do you all wear them?
