I can’t believe we are in the home stretch! This pregnancy seemed to have been flying by but I have to be honest, it seems to be moving at a snail’s pace now. Maybe it’s because I’m expanding by the hour, my back is starting to hurt and I’m getting uncomfortable…who can say!
Feeling: Depends on the day. I’ve started having some really terrible and uncomfortable back pain and I’m not totally sure why. The child I’m growing is definitely part of it, but I think I may be straining over patients at work and possibly sleeping in a weird position too. I haven’t gotten a pregnancy pillow yet but would love to hear recommendations and if they helped you out. I will literally try anything to get rid of this pain! Besides the back pain, I’ve been fairing pretty well. I was someone who was constantly cold before and am now overheating at all times. I also notice a bit of swelling in my hands and ankles but Trevor says that’s made up. Oh, and I waddle now too, Trevor calls me penguin!
Eating: Lots of breakfast for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It seems to be the one meal I can’t get enough of! I’m trying to reel the pancake addiction in but man are they good! Aside from that little deviation I am trying to stick to my clean eating regimen and exercise routine, although the bigger I get the tougher it is. I’m hoping the weather shapes up soon so I can start enjoying walks through the neighborhood!
Sleeping: In bed by 9pm and still waking up at 3am like clockwork. I think I’m getting a bit more exhausted though so falling back asleep till 6 is now happening thankfully.
Wearing: Anything that fits, ha! I am really dying for warmer temps so I can just throw on a cotton dress and not have to worry about anything else. Putting together jeans and a top is so much work but I have been loving this fitted tank underneath sweaters!
Favorite Maternity Picks:
Shopping: We have finally made some progress on the nursery and I can’t wait to show you guys even more! What did you think of Wednesday’s post? We spent a whole weekend putting together baby things and getting the room ready, so it’s been fun to see it come together!
Reading: Nothing! I feel like I have been so busy I’ve hardly had time to finish the books I have on my nightstand. I always intend to read before bed and then just pass out. I’m hoping to tackle some of them this weekend so fingers crossed!
On a fashion note, since the weather hasn’t been cooperating it was nice to sneak away to the Lincoln Park conservatory to shoot these photos. It’s alway such a warm and cozy escape from the cold city and I was so excited to wear this new off the shoulder top. I admit, it is a bit preppier than I normally wear but I loved the big ruffle and stripes. Plus, it’s $87 so who can resist?
Hope you are all having a wonderful week!
