How is it only Tuesday?
I feel like we have been running around like crazy with the wedding and my meetings yesterday so I’m glad to hang at home with my mom and Zain today and maybe get a little Christmas shopping done.
As for today’s outfit, I’m not normally someone who is a heavy sequin wearer but something about this time of year gets me in the mood! When I saw that this mini skirt was under $50 and had an elastic waistband, I couldn’t say no. It’s really well made and the sequins are a nice brassy color so you don’t feel like a human mirror ball. It runs true to size and if you are in between sizes I would probably order down. Unlike most mini skirts this one is actually very roomy and has enough fabric to cover your bum 😉
I snagged the skirt and this velvet top at the same time over Thanksgiving and loved the way they paired together. I’m a big fan of showing off your legs or upper half, just not both at the same time. I thought this top was pretty, roomy, had the cutest bell sleeve and worked well with a mini skirt. If you live somewhere that isn’t freezing (the Chicago winter has fully arrived!) then I think this would look great with a single strap sandal too.
Since the outfit was so busy, I tried to keep my accessories simple and in the same color scheme. This black and gold clutch was actually a random buy years ago when I was home for a wedding and forgot a purse. I can’t believe they still sell it but it must be a staple for a lot of women and it’s also currently on sale!
Are you guys diving into sequins this year?
Hi! I love the skirt! What size are you wearing?
It’s so cute! So, I’m wearing a medium here but I wish I had got the small. I ordered up thinking it would be super tight like most mini skirt’s but the medium actually felt and looked big on the sides. I would order true to size in it!
