SHOP THE POST:
Romper: Shopbop (c/o) | Heels: Sam Edelman (c/o) | Sunglasses: Wildfox | Handbag: Chloe
Our second night was one of my favorites! We headed over to Silverlake to have dinner at Barbrix and absolutely loved the atmosphere, food & weather. We sat in a tiny little tile table outside in a garden of Ivy right by the heater. We enjoyed some amazing rosè while munching on a a charcuterie plate, pasta and lastly a slice of chocolate cake! It was such a nice feeling to be outside enjoying a meal again after a long winter in Chicago and this romper was the easiest thing to wear. The sleeves are long and roomy and it’s the perfect length for me – not short at all! The waistband in the middle is stretchy so I feel like you could maybe size down and still be comfortable. The dark color with the little pops of flowers is so romantic and although the front doesn’t come with a fastener it was pretty easy to use a brass bobby pin to cinch it where I wanted. You can always adjust the opening however much you want!
I paired it with these black Sam Edelman heels and love the chunkier heel. The heel height is a bit more than my brown lace up’s but not enough to bother you for a night out. I just may not wear them for an entire day wandering around a new city! I wish we had gotten over to Silverlake a bit earlier so we could have explored some during the day but we had been so busy everyday we had little down time.
If you are in the market for a summer romper I highly suggest this one but because it is on super sale it’s going quickly. I posted it a few weeks ago on Instagram so make sure you are following along there so you catch the scoop on any sale’s before they hit the blog. I also rounded up some of my favorite rompers for the summer below!
Have a wonderful day and cheers to hump day!
I love LA nights! Chilly enough to stay warm by a heater, but you can still wear whatever you want. SoCal weather is the best.
They were the best! It’s cold, rainy & gross here and I am dreaming of SoCal!
Legs for daysssss. You wear the romper so well! This reminds me of one I picked up from Piperlime a few summers ago and sadly left behind in a hotel room in Chicago!
26 and Not Counting
Aww you are too sweet! Oh no! That is the worst, did you call them ever? UGH so sad.
I found a really cute (and really affordable) romper at Old Navy that I’m dying to wear!
