Remember that one time it felt like spring in Chicago and I could wear these perfect lace up flats? Sigh, me too. Despite the 60’s being gone and ice & snow falling I am keeping my hopes up that spring is on the horizon.
I am so excited to chat about the new L.K. Bennett x Bionda Castana collection with you guys because I am in love. We all know that I have been obsessed with blush lately and white is always crisp and fresh for summer. The collection mashes the classic L.K. Bennett style with a funky twist from Bionda Castana in what I call shoe heaven. I loved these white flats and their tiny scallop detail since they felt cool and casual and I think I will be able to wear them all summer! The tie was easy to wrap around my ankle several times and the knot kept all day. Sometimes lace ups can be tedious if they continue to come untied all day but this didn’t once. There is also no heel to the sandal which I was worried about at first thinking my foot may slide in and out of it but it actually made them more comfortable. I didn’t feel like my foot was stuffed in the shoe and loved the way they looked from the side.
I was also lusting after these blush heels and these Mary Jane’s! I can’t believe the shoe I wore to middle school dances is back in style but I am all on board with this chunkier low heeled version.
I decided to pair it with culottes and a crop top – I know, culottes may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I wore my white pair last summer more than I ever imagined. I think they are uber comfortable and look chic (to my eye at least) Trevor likes to refer to them as my ‘grandma pants’ but style isn’t about anyone but you – so you do you!
On a makeup note, I recently picked up a few of LancΓ΄me’s new lipsticks and I have to say I’m a new fan. This brighter shade felt fun for warmer temps and the lipstick wasn’t chalky or heavy and kept my lips moisturized. They are a great price point so if you are looking for something new I highly recommend!
Make sure to check out the entire collection & I picked a few of my faves below!
