Hello Tuesday.
Monday over here seemed to fly by! I had a to do list a mile long and so much work to do for the blog. I then tried to sneak in a workout during my designated lunch hour since I fell off the healthy eating wagon real hard this weekend. I’m happy to report my list is far shorter and I got to enjoy a fun dinner date with Zain since Trevor had a work meeting last night.
Since I had shared a few snippets about our Iron Chef dinner in Friday’s post and then on Instagram I thought I would explain it a bit more and share the chicken wing recipe I made since so many of you asked. I was really worried since I was cooking for friends and had never made it before but luckily they turned out delicious!
So this was all my friend Supra’s idea and I can not recommend it enough! She had done something similar with a friend before and thought it would be fun. Well, it was. We picked a date we could all make it (3 couples) and assigned dishes to each couple. Each dinner will have an assigned ingredient that must be worked into each dish. This time it was coffee!
Our dish was an appetizer and I decided to make a side too! We allowed ourselves to make a few sides without our assigned ingredient of coffee so we weren’t wired all night 😉 I thought long and hard about what could be hearty and delicious with a coffee rub and chicken wings popped into my head. I read up on what goes into a rub and added a few things I generally love. They were super easy to throw together and everyone seemed to enjoy them!
As for this outfit, can I wear it everyday? These Kick Crop jeans are ones I’ve worn time and time again. They honestly surprised me since I tend to be curvier I thought the wide crop may just accentuate the curvier parts of me but they are so incredibly flattering and hug all the right places! I threw them on with this new tee I got and loved the colors for fall. This tee is a boxy one and is a very casual cotton so if you are looking for something for work I suggest this one!
Throw on a silk neck scarf and mules and you are ready for any fall date. I know I’ve worn these mules before but they released them in a few new colors so if you haven’t scooped them up yet, I recommend it!
Hope you guys are having a great week and stay tuned tomorrow for a huge denim roundup that takes you from work to weekend including reader favorites!
