We made it to Thursday. Can you believe it? I’m not sure why this week seemed to drag by when last week disappeared before my eyes. I’m so excited because I’m actually headed downtown for a little staycation tonight. A nice big hotel room all to myself with some wine and a face mask sounds like the perfect evening. I know I will miss Zain boo and Trevor but this mom is not going to hide her excitement for a nice quite evening to herself. Since I’m packing these leggings along for dinner tonight I thought it was the perfect time to share a bit more about them. 

I know I have raved about these leggings several times before on Instagram and Instagram stories but OH MY GOODNESS. I have been on the hunt for faux leather leggings for what feel’s like years and could never find a pair that didn’t look shiny and/or cheap. When I saw these online I thought they may be too good to be true but decided to order them and see. 

I was blow away! Not only are they the nicest texture, they are cut well and have a control top waistband. READ: control top waistband. Yes, you read that right ladies. These are what dreams are made of. I would have appreciated that before but after having a baby it is like I won the lottery. I ordered a medium to be safe because no one wants to be in leggings that are too tight but I actually saw Jess try mine on and even though she is several sizes smaller than me they fit her like a glove. I really think they must morph to whomever is wearing them and trust me when I say you need them in your life. 

Since they are pretty form fitting I have been pairing them with a long cardigan or a slouchy sweater. I prefer not to wear them with shorter tops since I’m curvier on the bottom but am slowly building up that courage. Since I was heading out for lunch with Jess I threw on my booties from last season but if I was switching this out for a date night or any fancier occasion I would thrown on a pair of black pumps to take it from desk to dinner. These booties sadly didn’t get released in this color this season but they have them in a pretty natural cream color and a classic black leather. They’re a great heel height for everyday wear and go with almost anything! 

This is probably my favorite outfit from recent history and will be on repeat all month. I’m going to keep experimenting with ways to wear these leggings so stay tuned if you’re not convinced quite yet!
