Guys, being back from Mexico is a struggle today.
I know no one should feel bad for me but I really forgot just how awful Chicago winters were and coming back to this weather after a week in paradise is hard on a girl. It was also so nice to take a break and enjoy vacation with my family! More on where we stayed, how traveling with Zain went and resort wear soon but for now we’re prepping for winter.
I shot this look the week before Christmas right before I got sick and Zain got Croup. Remember when you could show your ankles?! Although my ankles won’t be seeing daylight for quite a while I am still wearing these jeans (my favorite!) and rocking these loafers. The velvet wine color is so pretty and since they are made by Naturalizer they are crazy comfortable. Think walking all day in them with no issues at all. They are on crazy sale right now so I would try and snag them before they totally sell out!
I paired them with one of my favorite trends this season, fair isle sweaters! They make me nostalgic for the 90’s for some reason and I love all the pretty new patterns and color combinations everyone is releasing. This particular one is from Abercrombie. Yea, I said Abercrombie. I probably haven’t shopped there since I worked at the one in the mall in high school and I have to say I’m impressed. I had heard chatter of them rebranding and it was all true. I ordered some pajamas, this sweater and a turtleneck from them over Christmas and everything was on such crazy sale and so affordable! It all fit true to size and I just ordered this lace cami and sherpa pullover last week.
I rounded up a few of my favorite fair isle pieces from around the web and let’s hope Zain and I make it through this first frigid day back!
