With summer finally rolling around I was most excited to break out these denim shorts. Despite having to pack those back up after coming back from Dallas I’m hopeful they will be back out soon! This distressed boyfriend pair is relaxed and easy to wear on the weekend and when I feel like being put together but comfortable at the same time. It’s the perfect combination for all those summer activities we’ve been waiting for like picnics, street festivals, enjoying the outdoors & cookouts!

Fair warning these shorts run on the small side – because they were listed as boyfriend I assumed they would be over sized but I ended up grabbing a pair two sizes up than my normal. Weekend style for me is usually laid back and easy and I had been coveting a new v neck white tee for quite some time. This one is more of a soft material that is slightly see through – not enough to need a tank underneath but to appear a little worn it which I like.

Now, we have to discuss these espadrilles. You know about my obsession with blush lately and I loved that these were actually comfortable. I did order a size up in them for comfort and they keep going in and out of stock so if they happen to be gone I would just try back again a few days later.

This outfit really made me really think about my signature style and I kind of feel like this is it. Easy, laid back and simple is key. I am always drawn to fun prints and bold textures but this feels most comfortable for me day to day. Have you ever thought about what your signature style is?

Also, thanks for following along on my trip to Dallas and I can’t wait to share all the details from the conference. It was a great source of inspiration and such a friendly and encouraging experience that I’m so happy I got the chance to attend. More on that tomorrow and let’s work on getting that Texas weather up here this week!
