A few weeks ago I had posted a snap of my chocolate protein shake on instagram & people were really curious about the ingredients so I decided to share it today. Disclaimer: I am not a fitness expert and can hardly keep my workout commitments but this shake keeps me full and satisfied after workouts and is one of the only combinations I like.

Most protein shakes taste…well, not good. I swear by the HMR protein powder and if you don’t think this tastes like a chocolate milkshake I’m not sure what’s happening. After 6am workouts I didn’t want to have coffee & shake so I decided to add it right in and have been loving the taste. This way I am able to cut out any creamer or sweetener I may have otherwise used in my morning coffee but still get the caffeine I so desperately need.

I love my Cuisinart CBP 300 because it’s no fuss for me. It comes with 4 individual shakers that screw onto the blender so the only cleaning I’m doing after is rinsing the blade. I use 7 ice cubes and combine everything else in the shaker and blend on high for just a few minutes. I prefer a thicker consistency but you can always blend longer if desired.

Adding peanut butter or PB2 is great for added flavor and I will often throw in a handful of spinach to get some extra greens without even tasting them. Let me know how you like it and if you have any protein mixes you love!

I have the same blender and usually just make fruit smoothies, but I like this idea of adding the coffee to it. I’ll be trying it soon!

I am switching to it definitely for my daily morning routine. I like brewed coffee and peanut butter both. This will be an interesting combination
