i don’t know about y’all but i have been a bridesmaid too many times to count. each time is fun & exciting but every girl dreads opening that email to find what magical surprise is inside for her to wear. my friends have great taste so i don’t have any room to complain but i feel like girls are always wondering how to make these dresses work again and how to pick the right ones. i was excited to team up with Brideside to explore how to choose the perfect bridesmaid dress & use them all over again!

first off, my wedding had all indian clothes so luckily i was never forced to make these kind of decisions. although asking all your friends to wear stomach bearing indian outfits that were stitched in India & never available to try on wasn’t fun either haha. (love you guys!)

my advice is to go one of two ways: pick an exquisite unique gown that will be fun for the wedding and you know they may never wear again or allow some choices. i would be happy never re purposing a gown if it was something fun and unique that i would never buy on my own. if not, pick a theme of colors and styles and allow your girls to choose their own. i loved this absolutely stunning Jenny Yoo grecian style gown that you may never wear again but is gorgeous and i’m sure every girl would love wearing for a night. avoiding the taffeta like material is great because most people see that as ‘wedding wear’ and makes it hard to use again. have fun with it and remember as stressful as it makes you when the big day comes around everyone is looking at the bride & you will always love what unfolds.
