Who doesn’t love an ice cream cone in the summer? I was more than excited to put together a fun DIY ice cream bar for my nieces and nephews this past weekend and am not sure if they loved it more or my brother and husband. Blue Bunny made it easy with their homemade premium flavors and sugar cones that I snagged at Walmart!

I thought sticking to the classic ice cream flavors & adding tons of topping options would be the easiest way to allow bigger groups to mix and match what they liked. I prepared two options for sugar cones: sprinkled and plain. To make the sprinkled cones just melt your chocolate chips of preference (I used white) and dip the top 1/4 of the cone in the melted chocolate. Be sure to use a double boiler to heat the chocolate up or melt it in your microwave at 50% power slowly. After dipping the cone allow it to dry for a few minutes and then dip in sprinkles and set aside to cool.

After your guests to choose a cone they can add any flavor Blue Bell ice cream or combine several. I love to keep fruit out as an option so if anyone wants to muddle fruit and blend it with their ice cream they can! (blueberries with vanilla is my favorite)

After you add the ice cream top with sprinkles, chocolate chips, coconut, or any other fun additions and you have an amazing party desert station! Have you guys tried Blue Bunny Ice Cream? Let us know your favorite flavors & check out other fun recipes here!
