Hello friends and happy Wednesday!
Can you believe we are already half way through this week? I think we are finally back on schedule over here sleep wise. I am personally feeling so much better after a few workouts, crossing some projects off the list and getting our house back in order.
I love a good vacation but something about coming home, stocking up on groceries and putting away the laundry brings me peace. I’m very type A if you hadn’t noticed 🙂 On most vacations I sneak in a good amount of blog work. Whether that be shooting outfits, writing posts or answering emails. This however was a family trip I promised myself not to work on. Not only did I not have much down time without Zain but I wanted to be present and enjoy the time with my family. I successfully didn’t do an ounce of work which has led to a crazy week but I am getting caught up!
I thought today would be the perfect time to chat all things Golden Goose. The brand has been popular for what seems like forever now but I hadn’t pulled the trigger till a few weeks ago. I always browse the styles and sizes online (remember when I referenced that before?) but could never get myself to spend $400 on sneakers. Till now.
I was randomly on Shopbop a few weeks ago and noticed the exact style I have always wanted was available. This particular color combo is always sold out and I have rarely seen them available in my size so I was shocked and clicked right away. To my surprise there were two sizes and one was mine! I immediately purchased knowing how easy Shopbop’s returns are and waited patiently.
Even after they arrived I still thought I would be sending them right back but decided to try them on anyhow. To my surprise they fit like a glove but I still put them back in the box to return. After a few days of them sitting in the box (I always mull over big purchases) I finally decided to keep them. When I really thought about it I have spent more money on heels and bags that I don’t wear nearly as often as I would these. Sneakers are what I wear 99% of my life!
If they hadn’t lived up to the hype I wouldn’t have fallen for just a label but they are so so comfortable. They are made in Italy with 100% leather and didn’t need any break in! I walked in them for hours the first time I wore them and had no issues. They also have a hidden built in wedge heel that helps elongate your legs and I love the distressing so much.
I have heard people say ‘why would you buy dirty shoes?’ Well, I like the style. The same could be said for ripped jeans which I also buy all the time 😉 I think if the style appeals to you and you wear sneakers the majority of your week then these are a smart buy.
As far as sizing goes, I say order TTS. I am generally a 7.5 – 8 (after having Zain…RIP so many old shoes) and I went with the 38. I wear these no show socks with them and they are the BEST! I included them in this post last week and they may be the best $15 I’ve ever spent.
Hope this helps you decide in case you were on the fence and I rounded up some of my favorite styles above. if I see my exact pair come back in stock in more sizes I will let you know!
Outfit goals????
Aww thank you 🙂
I was the exact same way….I ordered mine during a Black Friday sale. They arrived and I tried them on instantly then put them back in the box. I debated on returning them because it was not love at first try on. However, I decided to keep them and have since fallen in love. I am now on the hunt for my second pair!
Right? I have to stop myself from looking at more!!! I wear sneakers the majority of my life and am so glad I kept them!
