Stripes may be my most worn style but I was so excited when I spotted this stripe skirt and top set and even more pumped when it was on sale. Vertical stripes could not be any more flattering and I thought the color combination on this was so unusual but fun for any season.

Although the set is so unique it will be easy to wear this stripe skirt and top separately. The top is more of a silky light material easy for summer and the skirt is a stretchy cotton you can actually breathe in.

I decided to wear this for our first night in Dallas at The RewardStyle Conference. It was at the rooftop pool at The Joule and the setting was perfection. After flying out of Chicago in snow that morning it was like a dream hanging out by a pool in almost 90 degree weather. Although I had some reservations about the conference I was happy to find such a fun and friendly atmosphere and chat with bloggers from all over the US and so many other countries. It was also fun to put a real person to so many faces I had seen so much and relax a little bit with friends.

After the cocktail party we headed to dinner at a cute little Italian spot called Villa O and sat outside on the patio. It’s been so long since patio weather existed in Chicago so it was refreshing to be enjoying the breeze again. We were already wiped out after just that first night so we headed back to Blair’s house to chat with her parents and enjoy some wine in our comfy clothes. It was so nice to be able to sneak away and enjoy some relaxing evenings with Kelly & Blair away from the conference!

Have you guys ever been to Dallas? I have to say I loved the city (as much as I saw) and am dying to go back and explore more and maybe grab another bite at Taco Diner!
