Well, it’s time for a weekend steals post again! I got a lot of great feedback from you all after the last one so I’m going to try to do it twice a month. It’s been a busy week around here and this weekend my parents are actually in town for a family friends wedding.
I have a bit of work to take care of this morning and a quick shoot but then we are headed out to their hotel to meet my brother’s kids. They are all so excited to play in the pool and I’ll keep you updated on how Zain does. He’s only been in a kiddie pool once this past summer and he wasn’t the biggest fan 🙁 Hopefully he’s grown into it a bit more! We were actually shocked when he didn’t like it because he loves his bath so much but maybe they’re just timid in the beginning. I’ve also been meaning to get him started in swim lessons so if you have any experience or advice on that let me know!
I rounded up some of my favorite picks from around the web and a few of these are things i own personally and love. A few are just things I added to my own cart and others I’ve had my eye on for a while!
You can honestly never have enough open cardigans. They are just so easy to throw over a turtleneck, tee or lace cami if you need to dress it up. I wear them almost everyday and have this one and love it! I was so excited to see this coat on sale! I was dying for the similar colored J.Crew teddy coat and it sold out so quick over black friday that I missed out.
I also included a few things I’ve been lusting over like this flutter sleeve dress. Is this shade not the perfect burgundy color and the sleeve detailing is gorgeous. I also have never been a fan of off the shoulder sweaters, I mean if it’s cold why are your shoulders out? Well, I changed my mind when I tried this on in the store. I think it’s so pretty for a holiday party or date night!
We did swim lessons at UIC last winter when my son was about a year. He liked them about half the time. We decided it wasn’t worth it to get him in and out of his swim suit for them when he cried half the time! But this summer when he was more like 18-20 months he LOVED the water! We went for a weekend in Michigan at a resort that had a kiddie pool that was only a foot deep and he went nuts for it! Enjoy the family time!
Oh that’s so good to know, thank you! I didn’t even know UIC had them. Okay, so maybe I’ll wait a little longer…We’re going on vacation in January so I’ll see how he’s feeling about the water then haha. Thank you so much for sharing!
