Hello Monday!
I won’t lie, this re-entrance into the work week has been especially painful. Trevor had last Thursday and Friday off work for his birthday and we enjoyed a very relaxing long weekend aside from the chaos & terrorism that unfolded at The Capitol Building. We were able to get out for our first date night since March and took advantage of a few lazy days around the house.
It does feel great to be back with a new post today though! One that doesn’t involve joggers or a mirror selfie. I really do miss occasionally getting dressed and being creative and putting together outfits is why I started this space and that was difficult to make happen over the past year. Luckily, I was able to sneak away during nap time last week and safely shoot a few looks and it felt great.
This is my no fail outfit combo when it comes to colder months. Depending on how cold it is where you live you can always switch out these heels for booties but I love a good suede heel. I paired this chocolate brown pair with my favorite cropped jeans and a classic white top.
These jeans are a weekly wear for me but be warned they don’t come with a ton of stretch. I ordered one size up in them and they have given a little over time but not much. I am a huge fan of the cut and style and don’t mind the structure.
This top is also one of my most worn pieces. I got it a few years ago and was excited to see it still full in stock and 40% off. It has the most gorgeous ribbing detail, is so stretchy and has a delicate puff on the shoulder. I use it to layer all the time! It does run on the bigger side and has so much stretch so I would recommend sizing down.
What do you all think of the combo? Hopefully it inspires you to shop your own closet and get back to the basics because those always look good together.
LOVE these jeans on you. Are they true to size?
They run small in my opinion only because they don’t have a ton of stretch. I sized up in them and they are probably my most worn!
