Hey guys, happy Monday!
Are we all recovered from last week? I think I may finally be caught up on sleep but am still in a bit of a daze. I am excited for this week because we are making big progress on the house so stay tuned for that over on Instagram stories and I swear I’m working on the pre reno home tour.
So, back to regularly scheduled programming over here and more from the Nordstrom sale in case you hadn’t had enough π Like I had explained last week, I really try to stick to neutrals, staples and things I can reuse all year when shopping. I thought it might be helpful to see how I actually styled these pieces and how you could mix and match them. Fall is nice because I feel like it’s easy to wear the same sweater and/or top a million times in a ton of different ways thanks to layering. I mean, I legitimately wear the same camel sweater I got at the Nordstrom sale three years ago almost every day.
Color block Sweater/Suede Skirt/OTK Boots
At first, I was a little hesitant about this sweater. It is a bit trendy and even though I loved it I feared it may feel inexpensive. I ordered it anyways and was pleasantly surprised when I went in store and tried it on because it feels amazing! I think it will be great with jeans, jean shorts, skirts and almost anything else. I decided to pair it with this grey suede skirt and these OTK boots. I had been searching for a black or grey suede skirt for a while now but they were always pricier than I wanted them to be. I think this one is a steal at this price but I do think you should order up! Suede skirts don’t have a lot of give and you don’t want it to be so tight you can’t move or sit. I also wasn’t sure on these boots when I saw them online because they are so inexpensive. Like almost too much but they fit and feel great. At this price if you want some, do it!
Sizing Tips: Sweater runs small: I sized up from a 2 to 4 for an oversize feel. Skirt runs small: I sized up from a 26 to 27. Boots run small: I sized up a 1/2 size in them and they felt great.
Black Jeans/Grey Sweater/Brown Booties
This combo will never go out of style and I feel like I buy a new version of it every year. This sweater was a surprise to me because online I thought it looked a bit too preppy for my taste but it’s so cute on! I paired it with these Paige jeans I love the fit of (the Rag and Bone ones are awesome too) and these camel colored booties. The pointed toe is a fav of mine and the heel is different and fun.
Sizing Tips: Both the jeans and booties ran TTS and the sweater ran a little big. I normally size up in sweaters for an oversize feel but even this small has a lot of room on me.
Blue Jeans/Black Cami/Grey Coat/Classic Sneakers
I think this combo will probably be my new night out go to and if need be I can throw on my black heels instead of sneakers. I had been searching for a black lace cami for quite some time (the Halogen one is great too but goes a little farther down under the arms and my strapless bra always showed) and this is it! It’s $22, feels great and I love the lace. I paired it with a classic pair of denim, I actually like so many of the denim options from this sale and this J.Crew coat. I wasn’t sure about it till I tried it on but the cut is so chic and the material feels great!
Sizing Tips: The coat runs TTS (I am wearing a 2) and the cami could go either way depending on how you like them. I am wearing a small but bought the medium in another color and like them both. The jeans run TTS and these sneakers run a little big so size down a half size!
Don’t ask me why I placed another order this morning (I snagged this stripe tee and chunky scarf) but I will be on a spending embargo after this sale π Hope this helps some and that you are all having a great Monday!
I donβt know which look is my favorite!! Truly love them all! I think maybe the grey sweater with black jeans & booties is my fav. Great outfits π
Ahh thank you so much Kimber!
I’m loving your bob!! So cute on you! I spy a lot of same things I bought from the sale too… haha! Great minds… π
Oh my gosh, thanks Maggie! Haha I know – I’m sure we will all be twins coms fall π
