It’s not often I wear bright colors especially yellow but I just couldn’t say no to this stunning dress from Akira. I’m 5’7 and it’s usually impossible to find maxi dresses that are long enough to wear with heels so I was ecstatic with this fit. It’s beautiful and flowy and I loved how the sleeves gathered at the wrists with buttons giving it a bit of a boho feel.

Since Trevor and I were headed to dinner that night and I didn’t want to seem too over dressed I threw on my black hat to dress it down a bit and loved the way it looked. If you haven’t been to Yuzu and you like sushi you must! It’s BYOB which is so nice and the sushi is some of the best I’ve ever had.

This dress was a good reminder to utilize pieces from other seasons during fall and winter. I need to transition more of my maxi’s by adding blazers or coats to them. I’m excited Akira is giving my readers 15% off site wide with the code LOWSTOLUXE till October 31!
