Happy Monday from our new home!

Ahhh! I can’t believe we are finally moved in. It seemed fitting to shoot some photos for today around our new neighborhood and it just feels so surreal. Seeing the paint and floors come together had us so giddy and although we were sad to say bye to our ‘back home balling‘ lifestyle at my parent’s we are ecstatic to be home. 

Zain actually adjusted really well and has been sleeping normally in his new room. Older houses tend to squeak a lot so it’s really nice that he’s a city babe and used to sleeping through all kinds of racket. I’m fairly certain every Tuesday and Wednesday when he went down for his nap the garbage men would immediately arrive directly outside his window. If that didn’t bother him I’m hopeful we’ll be okay here. 

Today is all about getting settled! Trevor starts work on Wednesday and Zain starts day care the same day. I shared this on Instagram stories but I have been having some serious anxiety about it. I think I’ve cried a little every night in bed watching old videos of him and I guess I just feel like it’s this whole big boy chapter that’s about to start. I know how lucky I was to get this past year at home with him plus it’s time for him to make friends and me to get back to dentistry but it doesn’t mean I’m not sad.
