Happy Monday guys! 

I am not going to lie, I am on the struggle bus for sure today. We decided to drive once Zain was ready for bed so we didn’t leave Louisville till around 7pm and got home very late. By the time we unpacked, got Zain situated and got in bed I think it was past 2am. We really debated leaving earlier during his nap time but I feel so bad strapping him in the car seat for so long when he’s normally playing and being so active. Do you guys have any great road trip tips? 

As for today’s post I thought I would answer a question you guys have been asking. People get bored of the same old maxi/floral dress combination so what can you wear that isn’t that. Well, here it is! This look is one I wore to a cocktail party in Dallas while at the RewardStyle Conference. It was hot out and I wanted to stay cool but not constricted. I love these paper bag shorts that have come back with a vengeance. They are loose, have great waist lines and don’t ever feel too short. I paired them with this adorable top that gives you the lure of an off the shoulder top without the annoying issue of not being able to move your arms 🙂 

Depending on how fancy your event/party is you could pair this with flats or heels and a fun lip. What do you guys do to switch it up during the summer?
