Good morning and happy Oaks day party people!
The weather is supposed to be gorgeous today and I am very sad we won’t be attending Oaks. It’s one of my favorite days of the year, I prefer it to Derby and I am thrilled Churchill Downs is able to open this year. Trevor is on call this weekend so we couldn’t make anything at the track happen but we do have super fun plans! This afternoon I am taking Zain to a brewery with his bestie Winnie and my friend Amy and can not wait for a cold beer in the sun. Tomorrow, we are headed to our friend Christine and Dustin’s for Derby. They have a blow up bouncy house and tv on the deck which is going to be heaven plus Chick-fil-a and cookie cake π Might be my best Derby ever!
Today’s post was one spawned from your DM’s π I received a bunch of questions about where Trevor’s shorts were from when we were in Florida and I thought it would be helpful to share some of his recent favorites since I rarely share his clothing. Aside from Amazon, we usually shop at H&M or Gap for Trevor’s stuff. He is very low key and generally casual on the weekends and they all have great tailored basics that fit well.
A few general tips for shopping on Amazon:
- Always shop in-house brands if you can! I’ve mentioned this when it comes to women’s clothing as well but those brands are run by teams from a fashion background that previously worked at Nordstrom, etc and monitor their quality and fabrics.
- Read the reviews! Amazon is great because they have millions of customers and for almost any product you can see photos of the piece on and get an idea of sizing.

A great fleece jogger that is so cozy. I think the fit is on the snug side so if in between I would size up!
These are a more fitted style jogger that I would compare to Lululemon. Same fit advice as above, size up if in between.
Trevor loves these crewnecks and the hoodie version. He wears a large and they are perfectly fitted. I was on delicate cycle and they haven’t worn at all.
Love this hoodie version and it comes in so many colors. A great basic for any guy!
This is a thinner and softer fleece like version in case you are looking for something that is easier to dress up and a little less casual.
I loved this coat when I saw it and it comes in 5 other colors. An easy layer for spring and summer nights.
This is basically the men’s version of the green anorak I own and love. Another great spring and summer layer!
Short sleeve button downs are my shirt of choice in the summer. They look great with jeans, shorts or even a linen pant. This one comes in a ton of colors and patterns!
These are the adult version of Zain’s swim trunks and how I found them! They have a great shorter fit and I obviously bought Zain and Trevor matching trunks π
A super soft long sleeve henley that runs on the larger side IMO!
The short sleeve version of the above that I find the fit the same on.
A great 2-pack of tee’s that fit a big snug so definitely size up. They come in a few different color combos!
My favorite pocket tee on him!!! These come in so many colors and have held up great, TTS.
These are the shorts he’s wearing and we both love them. The drawstring is comfortable and looks great and I love the length.

I think Trevor may wear this almost every day to work. It’s such a great price and has been washed more times that I can count. Fit is snug so size up if in between!
