Winter style is always a struggle for me especially in Chicago – with the hectic holiday season and lots of travel I try to pair basics that can take me from car to dinner. With the ice pelting me yesterday and the wind blowing me over it was a great reminder that winter is here to stay.
I always reach for my most comfortable pair of jeans and definitely layer during the winter. It can be so cold out & so hot inside restaurants or shops so the more options you have to take off or keep on the better.
I actually bought this camel coat in high school and apparently gave it away to my mom shortly after. Last year while I was home I saw it hanging in my parents coat closet and politely borrowed it back! I paired it with this new olive sweater – I’m currently obsessed with olive and burnt orange for winter in case you hadn’t noticed from my instagram.
The best & newest addition are these Woolrich boots! I have lived in Chicago for 6 years and don’t own a pair of snow boots. Every year I wonder how I got through the last winter and I am still not sure how it has gone on this long. Much of the problem is I don’t like the way most snow boots look. These boots are the answers to my prayers. They are sturdy, warm & water proof and I love the look!
I hope you guys have been surviving this short work week and are getting excited for New Year’s Eve! Make sure to follow along on Snapchat & Instagram for all the fun!
