i seriously don’t know how summer is coming to a close & this is my first summer maxi post. i feel like i live in them especially when i’m enjoying weekends full of friends & food.
this past weekend was just that! some of our friends decided to come to the city for a visit & i can not tell you what a relaxing and wonderful weekend it was. we started out at a mediterranean spot & thoroughly enjoyed the belly dancer haha. i tried so hard to make trevor dance with her but he just kept yelling “i can’t dance” (well, his tune changed saturday night when he was rapping & dropping it like it was hot)
saturday we decided to take a run to a new coffee shop we spotted, Heritage Bicycle Shop. it was so quaint & the people were so friendly (which makes me super happy) the space shares a bike shop where they create their own custom bikes & a coffee shop. that night we headed to a restaurant we have been wanting to try for-ever. the wait was 2 hours but let me tell you it was worth it! Au Cheval is located on randolph so there are tons of places to wait & grab a drink & i kid you not when i say this burger & fries was life changing. we burned all those calories off after (seriously) dancing & finished up sunday with a visit to my local favorite Stan’s donuts & Lou Malnati’s.
so, the moral of this story is…i’ve fallen off the bandwagon & i’ve been on the strugglebus all week. please help me & send me some healthy treats you like!
this rainbow maxi couldn’t have been better for the weekend and was a serious steal at Nordtsrom Rack. i paired it with flats & some gold accessories & am finally getting the hang of adding a little curl into my world.
hope you guys have an awesome weekend! i’m excited for my parents to arrive tonight & will likely spend the whole weekend with my adorable niece & nephew…my fav.
