We all know I’m not usually the girl that wears loud and bold prints & colors routinely but when I saw this off the shoulder number I couldn’t resist! I loved the color combination, midi length and that the elastic off the shoulder band is actually tight & stays put!

Off the shoulder has been so big this summer season and after picking up quite a few pieces I have learned that unless the band is tight, pass on it. You will end up pulling at the neckline all day & night and trust me that is no fun. This band sat perfectly for me at dinner all night and I loved the loose and long silhouette.

It was also a great reminder to not always get so stuck in your own aesthetic. I go back and forth between neutral everyday basics and bold prints like this one. I think it’s great to mix up your signature style with things you may not have otherwise tried. Fashion should be fun and most of the time you are the only person that thinks ‘I can’t pull this off’ when you totally can!

I was excited to get to wear this little number last Sunday night to join my first Tablemakers dinner hosted by Lauren Kelp & Co! It was so fun to meet and spend time with Lauren while we were together in Boston for our Marshalls meeting and I felt like she may be my long lost spirit animal. Her site is so dreamy and the event was nothing short of perfection. It was at Crate and Barrel here in Lincoln Park and so pretty & delicious! I can’t wait to share more photos from the event soon so stay tuned.
