This was my favorite find in store that I hadn’t even noticed online!
Morning friends!
If you didn’t catch it yesterday, I shared a longer post about staples I have bought from previous NSale’s along with sizing information and thoughts about what was worth it and not. Today’s post is just a quick glimpse at what I tried on in store. I’m also sharing a closer look on stories! The try on videos were the most requested format so I hope that this is helpful!
I went into the store with a list of about 10 items I shared with you all yesterday I knew I wanted to try on. As always, every store won’t have every single thing but it was nice to get in and out so I knew what to snag online.
Again, this is just a sale! Although it’s an amazing sale, I don’t want anyone to go crazy and feel like they need to buy things. I think it’s a great time to invest in premium denim, sweaters you will get a lot of wear out of and shoes. I’m not a huge accessory girl so I didn’t cover a lot of that but I know friends were into the handbag selection.
So, without further ado here’s a few dressing room diaries and I hope you all get what you want!
Coat: Avec les Files – LOVE this! Runs TTS – I’m wearing a small | Tee: Caslon – LOVE! I bought TTS but it is very oversized so size down if you want a more fitted look| Jeans: Paige – I bought these last year and love them! Run TTS but if you are in between, size down. I didn’t buy any denim this year but refer to Thursday’s post if you need some because I own almost all of them and shared sizing info there 🙂
Cardigan: Halogen – a little pricier than the others but that’s because it’s cashmere and in my opinion worth it. So soft, great structure and runs TTS.
Cardigan: Caslon – I hadn’t noticed this online but I love the fuzzy texture and it’s under $50. I would get a neutral color (green is all they had in store) and size down!
Teddy Coat: – Halogen – Runs TTS! If you are looking for a teddy coat, get this one!
Sweatshirt: Zella – bookmarked this Thursday and LOVE it! So soft and fits TTS.
Blazer: Vince Camuto – this was a surprise and I love it! Will work for work and weekend and fits TTS | Thermal: Caslon – It runs a little big but I still went TTS. If you want it a more fitted feel I would size down!
Sweater: Leith – I bought this last year but just wanted to show fit! It’s TTS but I didn’t think it was the same quality as the year before. The fit wasn’t super flattering on me but may be for someone bustier?
Sweater: Free People – this is the tunic I bookmarked Thursday and love! They only had a medium in store so I ordered the XS online. Not long enough for me to be worn as a dress but so great with jeans and a bump!
Pullover: Thread and Supply – my mom and I both ended up getting this! I sized down to an XS.
Sweater: Topshop – I didn’t buy this because I own an almost exact replica from the NSale a few years ago. Wanted to share because I get asked about that sweater so often. I sized down in this, especially for Topshop. I’m wearing an XS and would normally do a medium.
Coat: Kenneth Cole – my mom convinced me to try this on and I loved it. I would size down! This is a small and I ordered an XS online.
Sweater: Chelsea 28 – Never saw this online and LOVED it in store. Sized up to a medium!
Coat: Zella – loved this in person and bought TTS. Comes in a few other neutral colors but I thought the blush was pretty. I’ve seen others say this wasn’t the same quality as the original Alo version. That coat is made from a different material and from what I could tell $188. Personally, I would never pay that much for a jacket in this style and I thought it felt great. | Tank: Zella – was surprised by how much I loved this in person. Super light weight and a little cropped. Bought TTS! | Leggings: Spanx – I knew I was going to buy these but man are they amazing. So snug and hold everything in! Bought TTS.
Leith – LOVE this! I’m surprised this is still in stock but is a great basic for under $50. I will probably style this a million ways come fall but it’s perfect for work, weekend and everything in between. I sized down to an XS and my mom got a small.
BP – I kept this crewneck and thinks it’s a great buy at $10. It’s not see through which I was worried about and does fits TTS. I’m wearing a small!
All Saints – I was so excited about this and still think it’s a great purchase but it sadly didn’t fit. I ordered a size up to a 4 and it still fit snug and the arms were too short. However, the material feels like butter and I think it’s the most versatile moto jacket in this bone color. Recommend but I would size up 2-3 sizes!
Adidas – LOVE these! I’m so upset they sent me the wrong size but I don’t think it would have worked anyhow since these fit. They come in black as well and I would size down 1/2 size.
Top: Vince Camuto | Bottom: Sam Edelman
Tried on both of these and loved them, I just don’t need any boots. Both ran TTS. My pick for a work shoe is this Marc Fisher loafer that also ran TTS. Leather wasn’t stiff at all!
Also, here are a couple things I noticed since Thursday that I am snagging online:
All Saints Moto Jacket: Love this moto jacket and ordered up to a size 4 in this!
All Saints Tee – I like the asymmetrical hem!
Treasure & Bond leopard dress – Tried this on in store but they didn’t have my size. I ordered a size down (XS) It’s so cute and comfy and can work now into fall! Under $50.
Here are a few things I thought looked great but don’t need:
Moonlight Pajamas: I have owned these forever! Mine are polka dot and insanely old but so comfortable. TTS.
This Vince Camuto coat and Avec Led Filles coat were gorgeous in person. I don’t need the first and own an almost identical plaid coat but if you are looking I thought these were great buys.
I was hesitant of this Socialite thermal because I didn’t want something tight. It actually looked very cute when I sized up to a medium I just liked the fit of the other better.
I thought this Chelsea 28 mock neck dress fit like a dream! The shirring is perfectly flattering and I loved the neckline.
I already own these but bought 4 for my mom since she needed some new tee’s. Recommend and thought they were the same quality as before! TTS.
Also, as requested a few things I didn’t love online/in person:
None of the color block sweaters did it for me this year and I never even tried one on. I didn’t think the color scheme’s were flattering or pretty.
The BB Dakota wrap coat that I had high hopes for looked very inexpensive in person in my opinion.
I wanted to love this Leith dress since I had seen it on so many people but it just wasn’t flattering on me when I got it in. The color or fit :/
This was my #1 pick for a work/weekend top and people seem to like it but I thought it was a weird material and not the most flattering. This top was so gorgeous on and would work for the same occasions!
Happy shopping and TGIF!

I had the same experience with the Allsaints jacket! So sad it runs small because now it’s sold out! 🙁
