Hello 2017! It’s crazy how fast this past year flew by and I hope you all had an amazing New Year’s Eve holiday and got some much needed relaxation over the holiday. Is it just me or does that extra Monday off just feel like heaven? 

I’m not huge on resolutions so at our anniversary dinner on New Year’s Eve, Trevor and I talked about some goals we hoped to focus on in this new year. One of them was to be more intentional with my time and spend more of it doing what I really enjoy and being present.

Speaking of doing things I love, there’s few things I enjoy more than a good donut. A few weeks ago, Blair and I decided to liven up our weekly work date. Since it’s been so cold we’ve been holing up at a coffee shop and just working all day with little excitement in between. We decided to brave the cold and head to our favorite donut shop in Chicago to warm up. There is a Stan’s Donuts right downtown in River North and one in Wicker Park which I drop by fairly often. If you haven’t been, I highly reccomend it and don’t pass up the old fashioned blueberry! 

I threw on a few staples that I’ve been living in lately and loved how they came together! This Madewell oatmeal sweater has the prettiest cable knit pattern and speckles in it making it match everything. I also just picked up these booties recently and love them. The pointed toe, block heels and elastic sides make them super comfortable and easy to take on and off. 

I threw on my hat since I had no desire to fix my hair (let’s be honest) and my saddle bag so I could fit my camera and all my normal belongings! Have you guys been to Stan’s before? Let me know your favorite donut! I always get the same thing and need to branch out!
