Good morning friends!

Hope you are all having a wonderful week thus far. I got back in town late Tuesday night and had a busy work day yesterday so am excited to get caught up on life a bit today. It’s seems like it’s been so long since I shared on of these updates. They are usually some of my favorites things to share but can take so long to put together for some reason. 

Sharing a few peeks at life lately and can’t wait to finally share our finished dining room tomorrow!

 

Chicago Girls Weekend

I don’t know why it had felt like years since I had been back to the city but I ended up planning a very last minute weekend getaway. Southwest sent me an price alert and surprisingly all of my girlfriends were free plus it was my friend Anar’s birthday weekend! Talk about the stars aligning? I had the best time catching up with friends and can’t wait to get back in November with Trevor and Zain 🙂

Zain Boo

Excited for Trevor to take him to school! I’m working on a longer post about why/how we decided to start Zain at a preschool 🙂

 

This child is now dressing himself, putting his shoes on himself and refusing to cuddle whenever I ask. 

 

Washing dishes and cleaning the house are his top activities…I’m doubting this will last long 😉

 

 

 

Staycation at The Omni

Not going to lie I was one of those people that didn’t really see the value in a Staycation. I’ve changed my mind. It was so much fun to escape to downtown and explore the hotel with Zain. He had an absolute blast at the pool and lived his best hotel life in his robe, staying up late and enjoying a giant cupcake 😉 I think Trevor and I will try to plan another one this winter for just the two of us! 

If you are debating it and don’t have time/funds for a full blown vacation don’t underestimate how refreshing a staycation in your city could be.
