Happy Friday loves!

How has everyone’s week been? I got back from Chicago last night and was so incredibly happy to see my baby boy. I had the best time catching up with girlfriends and eating all the delicious food though. On Tuesday night we actually headed to the new Eataly restaurant Sabbia and oh my gosh you guys have to go! We sat in a cabana and the restaurant has an Italian summer theme with all the Rosé you can imagine. For you Chicago girls this seems like a perfect place to escape once winter rolls around!

I also had a really exciting meeting with Interior Define on Wednesday and am so thrilled our formal living room is finally making some progress! More on that soon so stay tuned 🙂 I thought I would give you guys a little life update today since it’s been so long and share some of my favorites currently on sale! 

 

Finding A New Work Balance

Moving back to Louisville has definitely been an adjustment although a very happy one! The biggest change is honestly not having any of my blog girls around. Mostly because working from home can get lonely, you get a little uninspired and it’s significantly harder shooting campaigns. Luckily, I’ve found some great girls like Grace from A Southern Drawl (see me in her bedroom below) and it’s been nice to get back into the groove of things with the blog. I start back to Dentistry September 4th so I’m sure that will bring a whole new set of challenges but we’ll tackle them one by one!

Finding Motivation

Did you guys catch my post Wednesday? It’s been a challenge getting back into a good workout routine after Zain but I’ so happy I did and encourage everyone to invest in some self care. I feel like we always put ourselves last, right?

Weekends With Family

The greatest thing about being back in Louisville is having my parents minutes away and Trevor’s just a few hours. Last weekend we decided to have an impromptu brunch date at the Indian restaurant in the neighborhood and it’s no surprise but Zain loved it! I got a lot of questions on these shorts and they are my most worn pair! They aren’t too short (which is hard to find) but do a run a little large so make sure to order a size down!

Prepping For Fall

I know no one wants to talk about the F word but I’m here for it. Thankfully fall lasts WAY longer in Louisville than Chicago so I am excited for all the light sweaters and fun slides like these mules I just got. I have several pairs of shoes by Splendid and they are insanely comfortable so I’m sure I will be living in these!

Zain Boo

Zain has found his favorite playground and it’s a great hilly 2 mile walk there and back through the park for us which is so nice! We have another one right down the street but this farther one seems to be his jam.

The backyard has quickly become our favorite after school hangout and he loves this water table!

 

I have been getting a lot of questions on his shoes, they run TTS and are such a steal compared to the Native’s!
