Well, it’s time to bust out your holiday midi skirt. The midi skirt is one of my favorite pieces to wear and is literally perfect for the holidays. It’s roomy, elegant and fun without being constricting like a tight fitted pencil skirt making eating easy – my main focus at a holiday party.

This faux leather skirt from Banana Republic caught my eye for a few reasons. I love the metallic sheen and texture plus the gold touches on the zippers. It is a bit rigid in the shape and fans out some so I would recommend trying it on first to make sure you like that!

Regardless of your skirt or pattern I always think they look pretty with a interesting tank or turtleneck tank tucked in and a winter coat over. Covering up too much on top can overwhelm your frame and a sleeveless top will allow you some breeze.
