sometimes less is more, or at least i think so. i’ve really grown to love simplistic style and mixing my basics to create something new i love every time. it’s not about always wearing something new but more about learning to reuse and restyle what you have. with classic basics you can always mix and match to create something effortless & chic that’s also practical. sometimes dressing up or trying new trends on the blog is fun for me but i really want this to be an expression of my everyday self and what i wear in the real world.

speaking of not shopping in so long i broke down and made a purchase the other week. i couldn’t believe how long it had been but was excited to pick up some new pieces from my favorite place, Forever 21. this coat was one of them & couldn’t believe i snagged it for $35!?

i wanted to keep it polished so i paired it with a crisp white oxford and my black jeans. i haven’t worn a belt in such a long time but was excited when i found this tan one in the back of my closet. i love the metal detail on it and that it broke up the color palette a bit. i threw on my black pumps and new bucket bag (it’s the most delicious thing ever) and enjoyed the day.
