These past few weekends have been filled with friends and it’s been a wonderful reminder of how luck we are in the friend department. Since my mom was in town, we’ve been a bit more flexible with time away at night and this past weekend we enjoyed the most epic game night with our friends. 

My girlfriend Lauren hosted and really outdid herself. If you saw on my Instagram stories, I have never quite seen such a beautiful charcuterie plate in my whole life. She pulled out all the stops and everyone brought their best games! We always take Game of Things to game nights and highly reccomend it if you don’t own it. We ended up playing Pictionary with an amazing easel Lauren had and Midnight Taboo which I had never played! It was equally hilarious and confusing but such a blast. We spent hours munching on snacks, enjoying some wine and laughing till my abs were sore. It was the best evening and a great reminder that we have made some amazing friends here in Chicago over the past eight years and how much it feel like home. 

We’ve also been trying to get out for date nights more and I know I shared this list of restaurants we are dying to try and this dress is on rotation for those. I’m generally not a cocktail dress kind of girl unless it’s a wedding or party but I am in love with this one. It’s the perfect affordable version of a Self Portrait and the fit is impeccable. lI ordered true to size and the peplum is so flattering allowing for breathing room and the lace looks delicate and super chic in person. I decided to dress it down with my bucket bag and can’t wait to wear it with a more casual pair of kitten heels.
