I know most people dress up on Valentine’s Day (it’s such a great excuse to wear a fun dress!) but since our plans are a little different this year, I thought I would share more of what I may actually be wearing. 

For the past several years we have spent our Valentine’s Day weekend in Louisville for an ‘adult slumber party.‘ I’m fairly certain I’ve talked about it before but if you’re new around here it’s a special weekend for us and our friends. All of these friends used to live in Chicago (one couple still does) and have since moved on to other cities. We all know life can get so busy and it becomes increasingly harder to stay in touch, let alone see all of your friends once you move. We decided to reserve this weekend every year as a kind of reunion when we all gather at our friend’s Ryan and Amy’s house and spend the weekend together. 

We relax, watch TV, play board games, have cocktails and usually go to a new fancy restaurant for dinner Saturday night. My friend Marian is the ultimate planner and foodie so she graciously takes care of all the reservations and we go along for the ride! This year we are switching it up and doing something I’m really excited about. We are headed to MozzaPi for a pizza making class! The restaurant will be closed for us and we will be bringing our own wine and learning how to make pizza from scratch. Guys, I am so excited!!!

I think it will be such a fun experience with our group of friends and we are hoping to actually make it out to a bar after. Every year in the past dinner has ended with everyone being so stuffed we immediately drive home and pass out.
