Happy Monday people! We are in recovery mode from our weekend trip to Michigan and Windy City Smokeout. Thank you so much for all the amazing recommendations we had such a wonderful time and I am already planning a long weekend to northern Michigan again – it is so beautiful!

I am putting a fun twist on a classic today – the slip dress. It’s one of the most versatile items in my wardrobe and I was so excited to finally find a lace bralette that worked for me. I have worn it with this dress many times and also a simple black silk tank too. It’s a great alternative to having to wear the dreaded strapless bra. The back and front lace details are such a fun touch and add a whole new layer to a simple classic black slip dress.

I think it speaks to so much of fashion and style and lately I have been trying to add fun touches to classics. Like tying up my white tee in a knot or adding a fun lip color to a basic outfit. So much of a wardrobe should be built on basics and I think investing in some fun details or accessories can help you not always reach for a ‘new’ anything.
