Good morning friends!
I am excited to share today’s installment of our Gift Guides with you that focuses on Black Owned Businesses. I think this year has brought about so much important education and insight surrounding the Black community and I will continue to try to shed light on new business and small business as a whole here! Although I love a good Amazon find as much as the next person, I hope to also balance my personal investment back into my community and small businesses that need our support more than ever this year.
Golde Superfood
I discovered this brand at the beginning of quarantine from my neighbor! The Cacao Turmeric Latte Blend is such a treat and tastes amazing. They describe it as a hot cocoa with benefits: a powder blend of 7 essential superfoods to support skin glow, debloating, and stress balance. You all know I love my Mom’s Turmeric Milk and this is just as good!
Reusable Face Masks
Very on brand for 2020 🙂 A good set of face masks is crucial in today’s world and I love the aesthetic of these skin tone face masks. A huge bonus, they are washable and have great reviews!
Pur Multi-Surface Cleaner
A pure and effective household cleaner that you can feel good about cleaning with. It doesn’t hurt that it looks beautiful too!
Soy Candle
A home can never have too many candles, right? I am a sucker for pretty packaging and use candles to decorate built-ins, nightstands and our kitchen. They are a great way to add dimension to your decorating style for a small price. If you didn’t know I have an affinity for tobacco candles and this scent looks amazing.
Bolé Textiles
A great brand if you are looking for any new pieces to add to your home. All of their designs are classic but fresh and they currently have a collection at West Elm! Full of color, quality craftsmanship and beautiful patterns.
Wooden Stacking Stones
These are so beautiful and from a local Chicago business! I always think stacking toys and blocks are a wise gift choice because they serve as entertainment for a wide age range of children. If you aren’t into these, check out their site because they have tons of other great gift ideas for the holidays!
Telfar Handbag
The ‘It’ bag everyone is always selling out! If I had anywhere to go and didn’t need a diaper bag I would spring for the larger tote in white or tan. These sell out so quick I apologize if it’s already gone by the time you check. I will keep my eye peeled and try to share on Instagram stories when they restock somewhere!
The Vintage Royalty Earrings
Discovered this brand through my friend Jess who owns a few of her earrings and each pair is so gorgeous and unique. I personally wish I could wear bigger earrings but I have a torn earlobe on one side so usually stick to studs but these would make a beautiful gift!
Kibo Ethiopian Towel
I mean, do I need to say much? Everything on their site is absolutely stunning and so beautifully made. If you are looking to upgrade your textile situation or add a statement to your kitchen or bathroom this is a great resource!
Blk & Bold Coffee
Know a coffee connoisseur? This would be the perfect gift and they are the first black-owned, nationally distributed coffee brand. They also believe in investing in their communities and you can read more about them here!
Phenomenal Sweatshirt
Do you follow Meena? If not, you are missing out! She is the author of one of Zain’s favorite books, Kamala and Maya’s Big Idea and the founder of Phenomenal Woman. I own their ‘phenomenally brown’ sweatshirt and love it. She just launched a Pop-Up shop at Nordstrom and it would amazing to see it perform well!
Briogeo Strengthening Oil
Beauty finds are always great gift ideas since so many of us don’t splurge on them ourselves. It’s 2020 and I think we could all use a little at home spa session. Brigeo is actually a new to me beauty brand that I discovered through the amazing reviews from Allure! This was one of their top picks and is so affordable much like their entire line.
I hope this helped shed some light on some new brands and businesses to support this season and if you have any other Black Owned Business to love on please feel free to share below for all of us to reference!
Happy Monday friends and cheers to a short week!
The earrings in that shop are beautiful!! What a good find!
