Ahh, the crisp in the air. The PSL’s and pumpkin spice are in full force and I am so excited for the new season. Fall is one of my favorite times in the city but sadly it doesn’t usually last long and the Chicago winter ruins everyone’s mood. Here’s to hoping it hangs around a while this year! With a new season comes new denim investments and I wanted to share 5 pairs I think every woman needs in their wardrobe. 

An Everyday Blue Jean

A basic everyday blue jean is a must in every women’s wardrobe. For me, a high waist and good stretch are most important. If I’m going to live in these jeans I want them to be comfortable and have a little wiggle room. Madewell jeans and NYDJ (which I recently talked about here) have always held up no matter how much I put them through. I also think they are a great price point for an everyday jean!

A Distressed Jean

Allow yourself a fun ripped jean. I know it may not be everyone’s cup of tea but most likely if you enjoy my style, it’s right up your alley. I love a good distressed jean and so many styles also have an unfolded hem, so if you can combine both trends in one place do it!

A Basic Black Jean

Good fit is so important here. Black jeans will always make you feel better on those bloated days so make sure yours have a nice high waist and good stretch. Paige and AG Jeans are my favorites!

A Boyfriend Jean

A must this season. Mom and/or boyfriend jeans are the comfy loose pair you can throw on anytime and go. They look great with sweaters and flats and these Levi’s are my current go to’s! I’ve seen them on all body shapes and sizes and always thought they looked flattering. 

Your Fun For The Season

Allow your self a fun new trend! Everything from big rips to frayed hems are back but this subtle asymmetric style was my choice. I snagged these during the Nordstrom anniversary sale and have received so many compliments on them since. They fit like butter and I recommend your true size if you haven’t bought the brand before!
