Sweater: Everlane – basically one of the only things I’ve worn for the past three months and my best friend. It’s the perfect tunic length with leggings and I love the fabric. I sized down to an XS in it. | Leggings: Blanqi (also available here) – I didn’t have these last time I was pregnant with Zain but heard about them all the time. Feels a little surreal to finally share the news that we are expecting baby #2 this summer! If you are new around here we have experienced our fair share of loss, infertility and success through IVF so at the end of the day, we feel very lucky. I know I shared with you all when I made the trip out to Colorado earlier this year to have a check up and see where everything stood. We didn’t move forward right away but did eventually in the fall and I will share another longer post about our IVF process the second time around on the blog soon. 

As for today, I thought I would answer a few questions I’ve been getting and thank you all for all your love and support already. We are so excited and can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us! 

 

When did you guys find out? I took the pregnancy test in the middle of October and we have been ecstatic since. Although IVF has worked for us before, I was still nervous and admittedly still am. 

 

How far along are you? I am 16 weeks and hopefully coming out of months of misery. This pregnancy has been widely different than my first! We are due this June and excited for another summer baby.

 

Do you know the sex? We do, stay tuned for how we found out and what we’re having! 

 

Any names? No. Why do I never have names? haha. 

 

How are you hiding the bump? Well, it’s been harder this time around and I’m not sure I’ve done the best job. I have mostly rotated the same sweatshirt and sweater with leggings for the past few months and am excited to finally wear a fitted top again.

 

Have you started decorating your nursery? No. I assume this is all attributed to being a second baby and how terrible I’ve felt but I haven’t done or really thought about anything babywise. We do have a bedroom across from Zain’s that will be for the baby but I haven’t really started thinking about design. 

 

How did you not tell? Well, that hasn’t been easy. Not only have I been terribly sick and exhausted, but I was having a hard time explaining all the cancelled plans (I’m sure my friends were annoyed) and excuses from the table.  

We decided to share the news with our parents fairly early on but decided to keep everything else quiet.
