Well, hello 37 weeks of pregnancy. How is it that the third trimester seems to last a whole 9 months itself? As delivery day is nearing I have been trying to get everything I can in order. Installing car seats (why is that SO nerve wreaking?) making frozen meals, setting up the baby monitor, packing a hospital bag and everything in between. This week has already been a little hectic but I am looking forward to Memorial Day and the long weekend with Trevor and our friends.
Is it bad to already be counting down the days till the weekend on Tuesday? Hmm, no.
The one plus to being super pregnant during the summer, cotton dresses. In the beginning of pregnancy I relied heavily on my maternity jeans and tops, but as I get further along anything cutting into my belly is not at the top of my priority list. I also thought I would love things that cover my belly since I am generally a high waisted jeans kind of girl (ahhh, can’t wait to wear these again) but to my surprise I hate it.
The perfect solution that has luckily agreed with the weather, easy tank dresses. They are so comfortable and the body con fit is much more flattering on me than a loose silhouette. I always recommend sleeveless if you get hot easily like me and then you can layer either a sweater, anorak or light jacket over top.
I recently picked up this stripe one and have been wearing it constantly. It’s a little shorter than my other black one but works so well with any shoe or coat. Since it was a nice summer day and I was grabbing lunch with some girlfriends downtown I decided to throw on my espadrille sneakers and this blush bag. It’s a new spring style from one of my favorite handbag lines I’ve chatted about before, Welden and I absolutely love the color for summer.
What do you guys have planned for the long weekend?
