It seems like wedding season is in full swing! Not only have we been traveling quite a bit for weddings this season it feels like our winter is packed full of them too. After searching high and low for a dress for our most recent wedding in Kentucky, I thought it would be the perfect time to round up some affordable and season appropriate dresses for you all.
Traveling back to Louisville for our friends wedding was such a treat. Trevor was abele to take an entire week off work and we stopped by his parents house first for a few days before we headed to mine. It was lovely to spend so much time with our families and friends and it also happened to be my birthday week.
Isn’t if funny as you get older you care less about your birthday?! I remember my 30th birthday party like it was yesterday and was so excited for it. This year, I almost forgot I had a birthday and Trevor had to keep reminding me. Not sure if that’s because I have an infant or because I’m in denial.
I’ll be sharing more on our trip home later this week and some adorable pictures of Zain meeting his cousin for the first time. Trevor has a twin brother and a younger brother and all three boys had their first child within weeks of each other, isn’t that crazy and amazing? I am already excited for family trips with all the kids!
As far as the wedding in Louisville, it was stunning! My friend Charlotte has amazing taste and everything down to the place cards was romantic and ethereal. It took place in Prospect at Hermitage Farm and it was our first time there. It was peaceful, serene and totally my friend’s style. It was great to catch up with childhood friends and the weather ended up being perfectly cool. We danced the night away under the twinkly lights and were grateful for a night out since my parents had Zain.
After scouring Shopbop I finally stumbled upon this dress. The site is my go to not only because they have some amazing fashion but they use Amazon Prime shipping so I generally get my order within a day or two. I loved the ruffle details and thought the tiered design was flattering and breathable. I think it will look so cute this fall with booties and a cardigan and is perfect for when you’re ready to chow down.
I rounded up a few of my favorite dresses for this season and hope you are all having an amazing Monday. My mom got in town yesterday so I am headed to a coffee shop to finally get some work done! I will be busy writing all day so if you have any request for blog posts shoot me an email or direct message on Instagram and I will add it to the list. Things have been a bit crazy around here so I am excited to buckle down and get some great content worked on for you guys!
Obsessed with those ruffles! Perfectly chic, lady!
Thank you Jenn!
That’s such a pretty dress on you, Shaheen! Love the color and the fit! I’m actually glad we don’t have any fancy weddings or events this fall- I’m not interested in trying to find a great dress and shoes to wear at eight months pregnant. 🙂
Thank you Britney! Yea, that would be no fun haha!
I am LOVING this dress. Gorgeous color and the tiers are so pretty and flattering. Shopbop is my go-to as well.
