The $30 Beauty Tool I Love

ORA Facial Microneedle Roller

Good Monday morning!

This week is a busy but exciting one. Our contractor is coming by for some last minute measurements and the Window people are also stopping by so we can choose something and get it ordered. I also need to make a final decision on the range and get that order placed this week! If you didn’t catch it on stories, I saved it to my highlight but Monogram is releasing a new style come Spring so we have the option to get either and we can not decide.

Aside from home updates I have a few exciting projects I am shooting and can’t wait to share with you guys. Thankfully Trevor has a bit of flexibility this week with his work schedule so I should be able to get everything taken care of.

As for today, I shared this little guy last week on stories and received an enormous amount of DM’s. I tried to get back to everyone but there were so many questions I thought answering them here might be easier.

What is it?

I stumbled across this $30 ORA Microneedle Tool while randomly browsing the web a few months ago. I had been wanting to try one but didn’t want to spend $200+ so I added to cart. I have consistently been using it for a few months and absolutely love it! My mom and Trevor have both commented on my skin and I truly think it’s this little guy.

It states that ‘It features extremely fine needles that gently penetrate the skin just enough to stimulate collagen and elastin production, which helps to result in smoother, firmer, healthier, and younger-looking skin and reduce the signs of aging.’

I really wanted something to help my products penetrate even further and to help turnover cells. I have yet to dive into cosmetic treatments like Botox or Fillers (no judgement at all just haven’t done it!) so I’m always looking for things I think may help.

How do you use it?

Step 1: After I take a hot shower each night I sterilize my roller and then use it. This is so important! Make sure you are keeping it clean, do not share it with anyone and store it in the container it comes with. This is the alcohol I bought to have on hand for cleaning.

Step 2: With very light pressure I start to roll it over my face. You should not be pushing down into your skin!

Step 3: Roll back and forth 5-10 times in each area in all four directions – horizontally, vertically, and diagonally.

Step 4: After I’m done I apply my skincare as normal. That usually changes each night but I shared my current winter favorites below!

Does it hurt?

Not at all! It feels like tiny tickles almost but you should not be putting enough pressure for It to hurt.

What skincare are you using in the winter?

I am someone who uses a lot of things. I generally will use a few things consistently and then switch it up when they run out! I know bloggers can sometime get a bad wrap for saying they ‘lovvvveeeee‘ everything which I understand but I do genuinely enjoy trying out different things. There are a few items I will always keep on hand like Farmacy Honeymoon Glow

Face Balms

Farmacy Clean Green: This is a great clean option at a reasonable price. It’s not nearly as luxurious as the Elemis version but gets the job done!

Elemis Cleansing Balm: Feels like a spa. Cleansing balms are the only thing that really remove my makeup and make me feel refreshed. This one is a bit pricier but often goes on sale for half off and I always try to share that in stories!

Cleansing Cloth

I use these Muslin cleansing cloths to remove everything and have owned them for a few years now. They have held up great!

Toner

Biologique Recherche Lotion: I swear by this stuff! I use it on my face, neck and chest and just gently press the cotton pad into my face.

Serums

Farmacy Honeymoon Glow: I bought this along with a few of their other products at the start of quarantine and just reordered this after I ran out. It is a 3-in-1 night serum that resurfaces, hydrates and clarifies dull skin with a 14% AHA/BHA/gentle flower acids blend.

Beautycounter Resurfacing Peel: I have been using this for years and actually still have the old bottle version because I had stocked up for fear they may discontinue it. I feel like this resets my skin and always works. I use this once or twice a week not everyday.

Masks & Oils

Farmacy Honey Grail: An ultra hydrating oil that I use on my face and neck.

Bare Minerals Green Tea Eye Mask: These feel so good! They are more substantial than other eye masks I’ve tried and feel like a caffeine boost.

Farmacy Honey Potion Mask: Probably my current favorite mask! It heats up as you apply it and becomes creamy, great for winter!

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask: This is an oldie that I still use. I bought my first one like 7 years ago and have never stopped using it.

Neck Cream

Revision Skincare Nectifirm: I did a lot of research on neck creams at the start of quarantine as well and am happy with this one so far! I still have more than half the bottle and it’s creamy and moisturizing.

Moisturizer

Eye Cream

Bare Minerals Eye Treatment: I am currently using this but can honestly never seem to find an eye cream that blows me away so if you have something you love, please share!

Hair Treatment

Bondi Boost: I just purchased this after having Zahra since my hair was falling out like crazy. It seems to be helping and is at a great price point!

Lips

Laneige Sleeping Mask: My holy grail! I have had this for a few years and love it. It also adds the prettiest sheen to your lips with a hint of color!

Burt’s Bees Tinted Balm: The perfect affordable balm that comes in a ton tints!

I think that covers it but if I missed anything or you have any other questions just let me know!
