Good morning!
How is everyone’s weekend going? I won’t lie, this week has done me in. Poor Za caught some kind of bug, she tested negative for everything at the Pediatrician but was so sad and down for the count. She was home from school for the majority of the week which is always tough with work and the kids already have a 3 day week next week so I had a to-do list a mile long. I was just telling a friend that I had promised myself to prioritize my health and workouts the month of my 40th birthday and I have instead treated it like a trash receptacle. Serves me right for making myself goals ha!
I did however cancel all our Saturday and Sunday plans which is not something old me would have done. Trevor is on call and I decided taking the kids out to things over the weekend was not the best idea for the kids, I think they both need some rest and honestly so do I. I see a lot of perler beads, crafts, and movie nights in our future.
Last night I did head to an alumni event at my old school which is also Zain and Zahra’s school and it was a wonderful time. Was nice to get dressed and get out for a few hours alone! Here’s to a healthy relaxing weekend at home and next week.
